Hello
Remember when Art was offering a free gallon of gas for people who booked a session with us? Yeah, me too.
Well… one of our past clients actually took him up on it. Shortly after the email went out, she texted me, “I’d like a free gallon of gas!” 😂
Obviously, I told her she should take advantage of the deal, and we booked her family portrait session right away.
Art and I hadn't offered this unique (ahem, crazy) promo before, so I wondered about the logistics...
Did she want the gas put directly into her car?
Or would she prefer a gas can?
We laughed about it being a tough decision, so I told her she could wait and let us know at her session… which happened last week!
When her family showed up in their electric car, it was clear: college fund gas can.
We had a great time at their session. The last time I photographed them, the kids were just 5 and 3. Now they’re 7 and 5, and the growth and maturity made a pretty big difference. The two brothers enjoyed making goofy faces every chance they got. They got a kick out of the toys we keep in the studio, too.
But most importantly, they had a good time, which meant we were able to make some truly authentic portraits, and Mom & Dad actually got to relax a little.
The session was done in black and white because we wanted to really focus on personalities and relationships without distractions. We designed a family album from these moments—the goofy faces, the laughter, the personalities, all of it. It's the best way to tell a full story, and not leave out the little details.
I love knowing that with an album, these two kids will live on forever in this season of life, in all of their energetic glory.
Plus, I'm smiling because I’ve got ^^^that awesome photo up there^^^ to remind me of when I gave these lovely people a little investment for their college fund.
I have a feeling this day will live on as one of my favorite moments in business... At least until Art comes up with his next brilliant marketing idea. |
