Hello
Lara just got back from dropping off printed artwork and signing a bunch of prints. She signed a total of eight prints and taped eight certificates of authenticity to all the artwork she’d already delivered. If you bought some wall prints in the past and Lara didn't sign them, let us know. She can come do that for you. It’s fun. It’s neat to think our clients' great-great-great-great grandchildren will be on Antiques Roadshow with the artwork and the signed original art with certificates will be worth a zillion dollars. Yay for the future!
I took Odin for a really long walk on the way to the studio this afternoon. It’s about 80 degrees out and he was definitely giving wtf vibes the whole way. I was listening to Led Zeppelin in my AirPods and we ran into someone walking an Australian Shepherd who was wearing a Led Zeppelin t-shirt. The person was wearing the Led Zeppelin t-shirt, not the Australian Shepherd.
We’ve been getting ready for The Bloom Edit coming up next month. Lara and I spent an afternoon at Hobby Lobby up in Lynnwood looking for purple chiffon fabric for the dress we’ll be using. Well, Lara looked for fabric while I wandered around the place. Those places are usually really big and I love walking up and down every aisle because I never know what I’m going to find. I like to check out the forgotten corners to see what’s happening there. One corner had a great big pillow and another corner had a big roll of foam. At least I got my steps in.
We didn’t really find what we were looking for at Hobby Lobby, so the next day Lara hit Pacific Fabrics downtown. She said it’s a really cool place but kinda struck out there too, so she ordered ten yards of chiffon from Amazon. It was supposed to arrive last night along with a purple skirt and a purple body suit but instead they dropped off a set of blue pajamas. We got in touch with Amazon and maybe they’ll figure it out. It’s a shame they didn’t accidentally drop off a box of gold bars or a case of Doritos or something.
The plant landscaping nursery place across the street from our studio moved away and now there’s a mobile dog grooming service that is set up over there. We haven’t met them yet. I was thinking maybe sometime this week we’d introduce ourselves and bring Big Stinky over there for a good once over.
And finally the landlord has planted some plants in the dirt strip in front of our studio. We saw them tuning up the sprinkler system that was all neglected and partially buried out there and then a few days later they added a bunch of plants and a sign about not letting your dog pee on the plants. It seems crazy but the plants are actually growing. No idea what the plants are, but yay plants!
