Hello

This week I had the pleasure of spending some time with a friend and her brand-spankin’ new baby girl. Well, the "bay-bay" is actually over 2 months old, but that feels brand new to me!

We met up at Woods Coffee in Edmonds and sat by the fire. It was nice and cozy so baby fell asleep which meant the grown ups got to talk for a long time.

I really love the feeling of connecting with people on a heart to heart level. It’s the best when there’s no agenda - you just take things as they come and talk about whatever comes to mind. That was our conversation at Woods. ❤️ Really nice.

After a while, baby woke up, and I got to hold her. What a treat! I sure miss my old baby days sometimes (yes, including the poop - it gave us so many funny stories)! Ah, nostalgia...

(Snap out of it, Lara!)

Anyway, with a cute new baby in the room, it’s hard not to think about time passing. They grow up so quickly! This baby girl has two older sisters who are 8 and 3 and I've had the pleasure of holding both of them as babies too. Can you imagine? When you watch a kid grow, it really feels like you blink and they’ve become a whole new human. And then you realize wait… if they’re turning 5, that means I’m five years older. Impossible!

But actually, it is possible. And you know what being suddenly 5 years older means?

It’s probably been 5 years since your last headshot.

Gasp!

Time is mean!! It steals us away when we’re not paying attention. But that’s the thing. We have to pay attention. To both "bay-bays" and headshots.

Career experts and professional photographers agree that it’s important to update your headshots regularly. Ideally, every 1-2 years because yes, things change in that time - even if you’re a grown up!

Are you due? …for a headshot, I mean. Not a baby.

I’m guessing the answer is probably yes, so give yourself the attention you deserve. Click here right now to get your appointment started.

Here’s to your success (with work and cute babies)!
